Friendly service. Lovely fresh seafood with tasty sauces. Only delved into the entrees as these were too good not to use as a tapas meal but the mains and pizzas looked delicious too.

Due to the absence of the chef AND manager on this evening, we had trouble with slow service, and my meal was forgotten , so by the time I got mine , my other 3 companions had nearly finished theirs! The table behind us were served incorrect meals (though the same) that belonged to another table. The young staff were very pleasant but but lacked experience to run things smoothly if no manager or chef to control is present. Lastly, the meals were good , all 4 of us enjoyed them in the end. And good value for money.

Best pizza I have had since Italy. Lovely pasta and gnocchi. I intend to go back fairly often and try most things on the menu. It all looks good. Staff are very friendly and attentive.

The sauce of the pastas (gnocchi with blue swimmer crab & linguine mare) we ate were excellent!

About Va Bene Italian Restaurant

All Goes Well - Specialising in dishes from the Amalfi coast of Italy is Va Bene Restaurant – derived from the Italian word ‘it goes well’. Situated at the Brisbane International in Windsor, this restaurant invites you to experience the simple pleasures of Italian food.Walk into a fine dining restaurant that exudes warmth with bright coloured paintings hanging on the walls and ceiling lights that emit an orange glow. Take your pick of seating either inside or if out on a romantic date, may we recommend a candlelight dinner in the balcony? Open for breakfast Monday to Friday and dinner Monday to Sunday. Va Bene offers an a la carte menu for dinner featuring different kinds of breads like bruschetta all’aglio (wood fired ciabatta bread with garlic and parsley), and crostino al prosciutto: wood fired bread topped with mozzarella and prosciutto. For entrée take your pick from the cozze alla marinara (fresh black mussels, tomato, garlic and chilli), or the crocchette di patate e caprino: potatoes and goat cheese croquettes. With quite a few mains to try, we recommend traditional pasta for mains like the gnocchi al granchio (gnocchi with blue swimmer crab meat in light cream chilli sauce), or the Neapolitan hand stretched style pizza, cooked at 400 degree centigrade with San Marzano tomatoes and Italian mozzarella; you can choose your toppings from the list. To end the perfect Italian meal with dessert, we recommend dolci del giorno, the chef’s Italian creation, or ask for the day’s specials. Best dish – Gnocchi al granchio
