Best well done steak in Sydney We don’t live close to this restaurant but it’s worth the trip we have been twice in the last year or so

A cute little place smack in the middle of Stanley Eat Street. Great service, good food and unpretentious. This is not a cheap eat place but it does have the food and service to match. Happy to recommend.

Excellent Friendly and fast Service. The portions of pasta were extremely generous so happy we were sharing. A must is their home made Tiramisu it is so light and fluffy but again remember to share the serving is huge.

A delectable menu...recommend the calamari, prawn mango, avocado salad & tiramisu. Took in the Mediterranean ambience.

Food always so good, great portion sizes and well-priced.

Sevice was slow but this seemed to be because they were understaffed. Ordered two pasta dishes which were both large but the sauces were disappointing. Overall reasonably priced but not that tasty.

One of the waiters was good but the others were quite useful. Food was ok but some of it average and overpriced. Nothing special. They used to do a prawn risotto which was excellent but have taken it off the menu now.

About Trovata

Marvels of the Mediterranean Sometimes the urge to scoff Mediterranean food strikes, and nothing satisfies you until you get it. When the craving hits, your best bet is to shimmy on down to Trovata Restaurant - an understated little gem situated in the heart of Sydney’s “little Italy” on Stanley Street. Mediterranean cooking with a distinct Italian twist is at its best at this downtown Darlinghurst restaurant. Upon being greeted by long serving head waiter James, you know you are in good hands. The traditional, no-fuss décor doesn’t distract from what chefs Tom Geaitani and Suni Samarappulige bring to the table. An array of spices and herbs combined with fresh poultry, grains and vegetables create a tantalizing array of top-notch starters. Once your taste buds are fired up, there’s plenty to choose from, whether it be pan-fried meats, pizzas or traditional Italian desserts made in house daily. Best dish: Sumac crusted lamb backstrap.
