Has been excellent for many years. Food is great. Remember it is BYO alcohol and the pub over the road is expensive. Go to a cheaper outlet first.

Another great meal at trans with some ladies who were new diners. They loved it. As always pancakes a highlight. New dish we tried was fish in young coconut, so delicious. Will continue to return to trans.

We were all very impressed with the quality of the food. It was light, tasty and gluten free. We shared three entrees, three mains, rice and vegetables and the serving of these was nicely paced and sequenced so that we had time to enjoy each and not wait too long for the next. Would definitely return.

Does it get any better than this? Tran’s restaurant is an award winning Vietnamese delight situated in sunny Mosman. Tran’s has a modest yet charming appeal, designed to make customers feel comfortable and enjoy a quality meal. The decor is traditional Vietnamese, with the walls painted in pale yellow and fresh flowers adorning the room. Run by Tri and Lanna Tran, a loving Vietnamese couple who fled the war in the 70s and settled in Oz with dreams of cooking for Sydney. The Trans take flavours from Hanoi, Southern Vietnam and the ancient city of Hue. Their cooking has all the characteristics that we love about Vietnamese food: fried saucy delectables done with the freshness of crunch leaves, herbs and vegetables. They do traditional dishes such as the crisp rice pancake Banh Xeo and the drunken cow, which is wine stewed veal in a clay pot. You’ll also find that the fare of Vietnam includes influences from colonial French baking and Chinese spices. Trans is a long-standing restaurant with a proven track record of excellent cuisine and warming ambiance. Make that trip to Mosman. It’s worth it! Best Dish: the crispy skin boneless duck
