Great food and very helpful and friendly wait staff, but the management blew it by getting very grumpy when we asked for a tax invoice.
Dear Gordon; thank-you for your positive feedback and glad you & your friends enjoyed the environment & food. However; re your invoice feedback; as advised on the night; we would like to clarify again. The payment system is automated with the bank and once the cash register is closed we cannot open it & print a tax invoice; we advised you we would attach our ABN number on the table order receipt where you declined. Prior to that we accommodated you twice when at the end of the evening you asked us to re-do the bill in order to split one for alcohol and one for food so you could claim; which we took the time to do. We provided you with 2 invoices even though our order receipt which we provide patrons does split alcohol & food. When you came to pay we asked if you wanted a tax invoice & you advised no this invoice will suffice; you then spoke to your colleagues & came back & asked for tax invoice for the food; as advised above, the system does not provide for this once the register is closed; therefore again; in order to accommodate you we again re-entered your order in the system & printed you a tax receipt. (Not many places take the time to do this). This of course provided wrong information on our system & our bookkeeping. It also took time for the person who three time re-entered all your orders. Its unfortunate you forgot to mention all this. The owner was not annoyed for the tax invoice given he had asked if you wanted one prior to closing the register; but for the repercussion we have with the system and also the fact that we accommodated you three times. We appreciate people providing feedback; but it would be great if it was completely correct. Hopefully this has further clarified your issue & doesn't deter you from visiting us again. Thanks again.

Although I understand the restaurant was busy, the service wasn't attentive and lack of information regarding the menu. We were given incorrect advice re. menu which was disappointing.
Dear Anonymous; we are sorry you were disappointed; let us know wrong info re menu. Sunday was extremely busy and in some instances it can happen particularly when there are larger tables with varied requirements. We apologise for the inconvenience and hopefully we can make it up to you. Feel free to contact us privately.

Upon arrival at about 7.10pm, the service was friendly and bubbly. Unfortunately, the waiter took the order about 30 minutes later and wrote it down incorrectly. Entrees got served at about 8.15pm, by this time we were starving...It was lucky we trusted our own instinct instead of listening to the waiter and we order two prawns and one serve of calamari (the waiter said one serve of prawns would be enough, what we order barely filled us up!) About 9.30pm our mains came out. We were absolutely starving and relieved to finally have food infront of us. Unfortunately, the seafood marinara (that this restaurant is renowned for) was served with a white wine sauce however it was ordered with a tomato base sauce. By the time the waiter came over, one mussel was eaten from this plate and the shell returned to the dish. The dish was sent back and a few minutes later a replacement dish was given. Unfortunately, due to the empty mussel shell still being in the dish, we were made aware that the original dish served had simply had tomato sauce thrown through it, hence, the seafood had been cooked twice and would no doubt be overcooked. The dish was once again sent back to the kitchen (the waiter didn't seem happy that we requested this) and 15 minutes later, the chef brought out a new plate of marinara. He asked what was wrong with the first dish. As we tried to explain to him, he lent over the table and grabbed an empty beer bottle and said "How much have you guys had to drink?" and he walked off. Absolutely appauling! The reason the drinks were being purchased in the first place is because we had been waiting over two hours for our main meals to arrive, not to mention I'm pregnant so saw things through sober eyes! Around 10pm the plates were cleared off our table. about 10minutes later I asked to see the dessert menu and received a grunted "yep" from the waiter. Needless to say no desserts were ordered. They did offer us complimentary port to make up for the evenings mishaps however the service was simply not good. The food was amazing (Once we received it!). Unfortunately we won't be returning.
Hi Jess; thanks for some of your positive feedback; however we're sorry to hear your experience was not the best…thanks for bringing this to our attention.This feedback is very surprising and disappointing. A two hour wait is quite out of character for our small restaurant. As for your order; we apologise for the mishap. We serve lots of customers each week and feedback is usually positive. We hope you will give us another chance in the future.
