The views were beautiful. Food was up to standards however I expected better service. Most of the food came out slightly cold. But in their defence they were pretty busy as they had 2 weddings running at the time. If they had more staff it probably would have been better.

They must have been short staffed , our waiter never returned to take orders, we asked another staff member in the end.

General menu is a little pricey but it's good value on their "special" nights.

About The Meatery

Come dine with [m]e Come on party people, the [m]eatery in Wollongong is the destination for you. Great location overlooking City Beach with expansive views of the Pacific Ocean and the lighthouse from the outdoor terrace. Inside, see industrial chic rocking it to the max! We’re talking mega pendant lighting, the highest of high ceilings, floating acoustic islands suspended from the ceiling, and a venue that’s large enough to accommodate the biggest of crowds. With a bar that seems to go on for miles and seating enough for hundreds of hungry diners, expect burgers, pizzas, pasta and some of the biggest steaks around. Open from Wednesday to Sunday for lunch, drinks and dinner, you can expect a buzzing night out at this casual and family-friendly eatery. Try the pulled pork sloppy joe, which is comprised of pork braised for 12-hours and basted with special sauce and topped with rough-chopped slaw. Best dish: the [me]eatery pork ribs – half cage of ribs that have been slow cooked for eight hours until falling off the bone, then grilled and basted until sweet, sticky and smoky.
