price pp is based on 50% dimmi discount. Dim environment makes it good for dates. Wait for food was quite good. No big time gap between courses. My steak was good, cooked on point, but wouldn't rave about it. Same goes for the other 5 steaks on table. Really enjoyed the 3 diff entrees. Dessert, bombe alaska, was not the usual dome shape, but loved the flavour. Did not flambe in front of us (would have given more points). Side truffle pasta (w steak) made itself no presence. Bland, no texture. Would rather simple fries instead, or garden salad. Otherwise pleasant evening, just main course wasn't that great compared to entree and dessert.

Went here for part of Dimmi 50% off set menu deal. very disappointed with the food. Food Presentation - it is nowhere close to what I have expected or when I went to the one in Southbank. It was awful and does not like $110 per person dinner. Taste - Steak was overcooked (ordered medium rare and it was almost well done) and no sauce at all. When asked, we can only have mustard or tomato sauce. Entre dishes were not up to standard. I will never suggest anyone to go for set menu. It sounds like jus chea Service - It was ok but was not very accommodating

I have been to Meat & Wine Co. previously so was quite excited to see them have a half price deal on their set menu. Turned out to be quite a disappointment. The quality of the dishes were not that great, and the steak was overcooked. Overall it was quite a disappointment. If known, I wouldn't have even paid half the price for the set menu let alone the full price.

Meat & Wine Co are trying this new 5 course degustation tasting menu for $110 pp. We got the offer on special for $55pp as part of Restaurant month with Dimmi. The menu reads very well and had us excited to try this, however the overall experience was dissatisfying. We were served 3 courses out of 5 together to share. We started with salmon, it was just okay nothing amazing. Then the Octopus with warm potatoes, it was very disappointing, the ratio of potatoes to octopus was very high. The entire dish lacked any flavour. The croquettes were good. Once the Wagyu Rump with Truffle mac & Cheese arrived, the presentation felt like I was at a pub and not a restaurant. Nonetheless we tucked it, I could barely eat my steak, it was over cooked and cold. The mac and cheese lacked truffle and was not delicious. My husband ordered some sauce to give his steak some flavour. Last course- Bombe Alaska, again just okay! Something sweet! Given that I paid $55 pp it did not annoy me that much, nonetheless it was very disappointing compared to the quality of food you can get in Melbourne in that price range.

Service attitude was good, however they gave us the wrong table, then proceeded to deliver our food and drink to the wrong table. We got the set menu and it took them half an hour to bring out entrees. They apologised for the wait, however given we had an 8:30 booking and half the restaurant empty we found this poor form. I found food quite mediocre; the steak was tough/chewy for a wagyu steak. Would not pay full price for this ona regular day.

Good value. Food was delicitious! Especially stakes were perfectly cooked and all wines are resonably priced.
