Lovely, we were even treated to live music.

Very poor food and drink service, tapas dishes were delivered to the table without plates or cutlery- we had to request them and waited another 10 minutes for them to be bought to the table. Over priced for what is on offer. There are plenty of other options in the area to choose from give this one a miss.

Good staff, LOVE the white choc and passion fruit cocktails!

Staff were friendly but took a while for food to come out. Charcuterie plate was very meat heavy but light on cheese - still felt we were getting our money's worth though! A good reliable option for the north end of Chapel St.

Lovely place to chill and catch up with friends while watching the world pass by in chapel street.

"Jug" of pimms effectively served just 1.5 small glasses as it was filled with ice and no substance. Bbq bourbon pork ribs was doused in BBQ sauce (swimming in it).

Great venue, perfect service but some of the food was slightly too greasy.

About The Imperial South Yarra

Reign Supreme Beauty is a key currency on Melbourne’s Chapel Street, with The Imperial having plenty to spend thanks to its striking interior décor. The large glass windows at the front of the bar also enable you to enjoy the best game in town – people watching. The Imperial South Yarra is an iconic bar, restaurant and function venue with a full a la carte menu and an impressive drinks list. After a hard day (or week!), head to The Imperial to catch up over a drink and some tapas. In summer, we share a jug of the ‘Pirate Punch’: Captain Morgan spiced rum, Malibu rum, peach monin, orange and pineapple juice. Try this with semolina fried salt and pepper calamari. On a winter’s night when the footy is playing on the overhead TV, opt for the White Rabbit dark ale, grilled saganaki and chicken skewers. After something more hearty? The Imperial delivers with its burgers – beef, crispy chicken or soft shell crab – steak sandwiches, chicken parmas and many other traditional favourites. Open every day of the week from midday until late, we suggest you pull out your glad rags for a great meal out on one of Melbourne’s most dynamic streets. Best dish: chicken taco
