Good colouring in for kids, food was OK could have more fresh salad and less potato. Couldn't fault the service.

Excellent pre footy restaurant

Try the share platter for three people... Maybe 4 people; it's huge! A stein of Trumer Pils and a sour apple schnapps will have you scrambling to remember phrases from your year 9 German classes. Service was a little slow to start with but was more than made up for by the smiling faces and friendliness of the wait staff. A great night after the footy!

Service could have been better. No condements provided with meals and once meals severed we waited 40 mins for watress to return and take plates. No follow up drink orders were taken. Also had to ask another waitress for desert menu and spoons when deserts were served.

Food was good but real bad service. Long wait before our order was taken.

when we entered the restaurant, there was no one who greet us so we walked around to find a waiter. when we found one, we let him know we had a booking for two and showed us where to sit. he brought over menus. there was no one around when we wanted to order so we walked around looking Dr staff, then a lady came to take our orders. The portions were massive, neither of us could finish our mains. after the meals and drinks were brought to us, we didn't see the waiter or waitress again. when we were ready to leave and pay our bill, still no one around so we walked around and was told to pay at the bar. more staff available would have been great. would not come back due to lack of service. if you're hungry and order a main here, you won't leave without being full!

About The Hof Downtown

Bavarian food hall For Bavarian food, Bier, fun and fröhlich, you simply can’t go past the Hof Downtown. Here you will be transported to a Bavarian wonderland where bier flows freely and waiters serve traditional grub, in large portions. Tables are often loaded with red cabbage, sauerkraut, crispy pork belly, bratwurst sausages, potato dumplings, pickles, mash potato, chicken schnitzel and large crispy pork knuckle...and a bier of course. With such an extensive beer list, it’s highly recommended you gulp down a stein with your meal. For those who simply can’t handle oodles of food, there is a Kleine bite menu to suit. So whether you want to gorge or graze, the Hof Downtown is perfect for both. Best dish: bratwurst sausage - German pork sausage with potato mash, sauerkraut and German mustard
