The food was really good. Great menu. Unfortunately the service was not up to scratch.

Lovely food and wine. While some wait staff are still learning, they are trying hard, and are very friendly and helpful. The owner goes out of his way to warmly greet patrons, and is doing a fantastic job overall with this new gem.

Food excellant, service was a bit slow and intermittant maybe due to some larger groups attending but otherwise an enjoyable outing and one worth returning to.

What better for a cold wet night but the piping hot seafood soup. Hit the spot.

A cut above the ordinary cafe fare for lunch and breakfast and prices reflect that but overall very pleased with the food and also the kids menu - fresh pasta and what seemed to be proper home made sauce.

About The Girl & The Goat

Watts cooking? Located right by the station, there is nowhere else more convenient to grab a coffee and a bite to eat in Surrey hills than at Watts cooking. Where Melbourne's food scene has seen that breakfast is a robust and reliable affair and coffee is a way of life. Watts offers everything from continental- style breakfasts to Belgian waffles, eggs done half a dozen different ways and plenty of quality coffee. For lunch you will see European and Australian cuisine being served along with some of our favourite Italian dishes, like Linguini meatballs. If you are feeling like something lighter, try a zucchini and caramelized onion tart from the deli menu or a grilled bacon turkish sandwich to tide you over. Best dish: Seafood Risotto
