Great night but very loud when busy with live music. The trumpet player was way to loud for the size ot room. We could not even hear each other across a small table for 2.

Our online booking did not come through, however, staff were very apologetiic, and promptly directed us to a reserved .table. Food and service was excellent. An added bonus was the live Jazz band, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We have been to The Fat Seagull several times, and have never been disappointed!

We thought the food was very tasty and the portion sizes were good. We were one of the first tables to arrive, but it took quite a while for the food to arrive. However, it was worth the wait. We are neutral on recommendation purely as we are visiting from the UK, so the likelihood of a recommendation actually dining is very minimal

We had booked due to positive feedback. Visiting for MotoGP and it seemed the team was not prepared for th onslaught of customers. The meals took 90 minutes from order. I returned my scotch fillet. Was very tough and more than welcome when I requested medium. Had to keep asking for drinks. Very disappointing experience when we were all looking forward to a good feed and some fun. Not recommended.

Service wasn't great, waitress had to go back and forth to kitchen numerous times to check on menu items. Very rigid on "no substitutes" despite having to order a different item off the menu. Asked for the duo of curries, only to be told they only had one curry available on a Saturday night so given the express menu red curry option, but unable to swap house White for house sparkling even though they were same price. Told it was a mild curry only for it to arrive and be volcanic hot. Kids ordered spaghetti bolognaise but got carbonara so had to wait while they remade correct meal and everyone else ate.

All the pastas and pizzas were great. Steak was terrible, requested medium and over well done...big discrepancy! Otherwise kids love the mocktails and entertainment of butchers paper table cloths. Thanks
