About The Empress Hotel

Royally good pub-grub The Empress Hotel in Fitzroy North is re-born as a craft beer focused gastro-pub. At its soul it remains a corner pub; a local for locals. The Public Bar is open, lively and inviting, while the Beer Garden is built for lazy afternoons and balmy evenings. The beer list is as ever changing – it showcases the newest in brewing without being fussy or too hipster (you know what we mean). The wine list is pretty snazzy too, so come expecting more than just the basics and your average house wine. The list is not unnecessarily extravagant, it is thoughtful and carefully curated to suit the menu. The hero is the food; at its inception The Empress Kitchen wanted to offer great food at pub portions, and it delivers. Think pub-classics reinvigorated! Best dish: The Empress Parmigiana
