Love the look and feel of this place! Nice hearty food by an open fire. A great option for a long lunch with friends, romantic date, or just pop in for a drink.

Really great food that catered for my dietary issues perfectly. The photobooth was super fun, as was the ping pong table!

It was really nice, and the staff were great. It was kind of ruined by a few screaming kids- dinner is probably not the best place for kids. The waitress was lovely and gave my friend a free beer when her burger was late! Very nice.

Wow! Outstanding food, highly recommend. We had the beef brisket, it was melt in the mouth and full of flavour. Yum!

Great breaky menu. Good atmosphere. Staff were friendly but could have been more attentive.

About The Edwards

Old drive-in laundromat turned hip bar Located in Newcastle’s West End, in a former old drive-in laundromat is a big, friendly, bar-restaurant-cafe known as The Edwards. Owners Chris Joannou and Chris Johnston have dedicated themselves to creating a shared space that provides a superbly designed environment offering good hearty food, a great café culture and a hip bar scene that's all anchored by a stunning raw concrete bar at its heart. Within the industrial chic space beautiful cues from its heritage remain. There’s big steam press beer taps, gas tumbler lighting and cylindrical drums salvaged from industrial dryers. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, you can sit down and eat with friends, come for coffee or pop by for a drink and some bar bits served from 4pm everyday. The Edwards is no ordinary venue: it’s the heart of a vibrant, creative community. Best dish: crisp-skinned roast chicken
