Delicious food beautifully presented.

This was the first time we went to the restaurant. The service and food were good. Price is very reasonable as well. Definitely will come back in the future.

It was a cold Monday when we came for lunch. The table was near the fireplace, warm and cosy, the Deviation Road Rose a perfect start. Soft jazz in the background, friendly and well informed service. If the entre was great, the main was a dream like experience, both the lamb and the venison. A dark chocolate parfait, a glass of Tokay... Thank you for the experience!

Food was okay but left no lasting impressions to make us want to return. I found the food wasn’t hot enough. The place has an ambience that’s more suited to evening dining. Though the new outdoor area which is soon to open with more casual dining and wine sounds attractive!

The setting was beautiful and the waitress was very helpful and had a good sense of humour. Unfortunately the food was very ordinary considering the price. We had three courses so tried the pork belly which was more like two strips of bacon, the bricollini and potatoes which came with the barramundi were soggy and didn't taste good. The coconut sorbet was one tiny scoop. The open fire and decor was beautiful so we still enjoyed it but the food needs to improve drastically.

A little bit dated.

The Mill is still a good place for an occasional visit, the food is very well presented albeit the menu a bit lacking inspiration. That said the venison is worth the trip and a noteworthy signature dish on the winter menu as its locally sourced and perfectly cooked. This is our 3rd visit each a year apart which seems about right. We will travel from the coast to this place in winter, but for us there are a lot of other options where the food is a bit more up-spec and interesting that are nearby. Like an old faithful friend who lives a day trip away, we will continue to visit the old girl for the reliable quality and good service.

Fantastic venue for a special lunch or dinner. The deck looks amazing and we can't wait to go back and sit outside as the weather warms up.
