About Subiaco Hotel

Not Just a Pub This grand old establishment has been around for a very long time. It was one of many hotels built during the gold rush, and one of the few still standing. Back in the 1990s it was turned into the first of Perth´s real "gastro-pubs" and ever since it has led the field in sophisticated wining and dining (not to mention the beer). Its popularity, which was always considerable, was given a turbo charge when architects Christou Design renovated the place in 2014. Now, if you want to be on Perth´s "A list", you could do a lot worse than being spotted at the Subiaco Hotel. As you would expect, given all that, the restaurant serves cuisine which is a big cut above pub grub. Try the Vincotto poached chicken salad with white grapes, croutons and goat’s curd, or the Roast Half Duck with marinated shaved peach and fennel salad, and creamed carrot puree. Best dish: Pan-fried Ocean Trout
