Our Visit to Celebrate a special occasion at The St Hugo Restaurant and Cellar door was a pleasant experience great location and views, great food and Wine and excellent service . Having been a Fan of ST Hugo for over 30 years I was pleased to see the support for the brand with the establishment of a dedicated venue.

My fiancee and I had a wonderful night at St Hugos during a brief visit to the Barossa Valley. The 4-course menu with paired wines was outstanding and we loved every course! The staff were prompt, professional and truly went the extra mile to ensure it was a special experience for us. We will be back and would recommend it to anyone!
Thank you Tareq for such lovely feedback! we hope to see you back sometime soon, Take care

Excellent service, well looked after with food allergies. Not much atmosphere due to quiet service day but made the venue feel more private which was great.

St Hugo dining experience was quite good from a food experience point of view. All dishes well crafted and interesting. Wine pairings quite good. They have extended their range of rieslings to match food and I think they match better then Hentley farm but still struggle with the big red/delicate food wine matching. Service was lovely but they need to do a huge amount more on training. I asked for wine list to start to look for champagne, that was given to me. No champagne on the list. I asked again to which the girl thought I’d missed it so looked through the menu. Her “Oh no it isn’t there, would you like some champagne to start ?” Me : yes please Her “ ok sure” Me : ahhh what do you have? Her : ohh.. not sure how to pronounce it.. Me : what does it start with? Her : I think P Me: Pol Roger? Her : yes that’s it. Me. Ok two glasses. Get wine to table.. this is nice but this isn’t pol.. Get Bill - Perrier Jouet Lots of refinement needed in regards to service similar to above. Beautiful food. Lamb over cooked but otherwise 4 pretty tasty dishes. Lobster with sweet potato , lime sorbet caviar. Mushroom three ways. Soup, dried with a salt and mushroom pate. Lamb sousvide with carrots and sour plum sauce. Rose petal and pistachio ice cream with coconut grenita. The dessert wasn’t very sweet so could of done with more than just an off dry Riesling. Residual sugar 37 and the wait staff thought I was weird to ask that question? Staff really not educated. Staff were very lovely so it wasn’t thier fault this experience missed the mark. It is a training issue.

The 4-course degustation menus paired with wines at $120pp was absolutely amazing!! I was also celebrating a special occasion - a proposal - and they went above and beyond to ensure it was the perfect occasion! Everything went off without a hitch, and the staff were stellar in making it the extra special occasion I was hoping for for! Thank You St Hugo’s!!
