We love the Scarf dinners. This season @ Higher Ground offered a delicious choice of which I had the Kingfish Ceviche (yummy) & slow braised beef 🥩 - super yummy. I also indulged in one of the martini specials which was super delicious. The service our waiter Sharrif provided was very good for a Scarf trainee 👍🏼 It’s nice to see how well the trainees are progressing through the Scarf program to be able to attend these events to help them with their training.

We love the Scarf dinners. Its a great way to support a great cause & help new trainees hone their skills - while being able to try new venues & menu's. We enjoy having a quarterly gathering for our group of 4 that gives us something to look forward to every few months :) Keep up the great work

Secure Credit Card Payment - Higher Ground

Scarf Dinners work on a prepaid “ticket” system as our seasonal partner restaurants have a finite amount of seats available. The pre-payment is a safeguard against last-minute cancellations, which in the past have jeopordised our program’s viability. Please note that tickets to Scarf Dinners are non-refundable, but if you are unable to honour your booking, you may pass your ticket onto someone else.

About Spring Scarf Dinner

Do More Than Dine Scarf is a social enterprise which partners with Melbourne's best restaurants to provide hospitality training, mentoring and employment to young refugees, asylum seekers and new migrants. Scarf Dinners offer a two course set menu (entree & main) for $45 per person, as well as a fantastic wine list. The cooking is taken care of by the partner restaurant chefs, and the front-of-house service by Scarf's trainee waiters and their mentors. Please note that bookings work on a ticketed system and pre-payment is taken upon booking. Scarf Dinners happen in different partner restaurants each season. Please refer to www.scarfcommunity.org to find out the current Scarf Dinners location.
