Service was very slow and took us ages to get our meal. It was very busy, but I guess its busy over every lunchtime. We had to ask for water 3 times and then they forgot our entree. Meal was great, but just needs to improve their service.

The Paella was good, and our server, Frank, was fantastic.

It was lunch time and busy, but the specialty paella took just over 40min, instead of 25/30min, which normally wouldn't be a problem, but it was a business lunch and had to get back to the office for a meeting. If we understood that today might take a little longer than normal, we would have happily ordered the standard paella, it's all great!!

Food was tasty but paella a little over seasoned. Service was friendly and sangria deliciously spicy. Atmosphere was as expected but ruined by music that was way too loud.

Great atmosphere, good food. My friend and I both had their Provencal Paella and it was delicious. Would definitely visit again.

About Simply Spanish

Simply the best Simply Spanish has become so popular that they’ve recently opened several other eateries, including a cheerful little restaurant in Melbourne CBD on Bourke Street. It’s just as its name implies – simple Spanish favourites cooked to perfection. After just one bite of the award-winning paella, you’ll feel as if you’re back in the seafront restaurants in Valencia. There are authentic Spanish beers as well as a thirst-quenching house sangria, filled with chunky fruits and spicy red wine. Roomy outdoor seating is available, dotted with bright red and yellow chairs while the inside is an explosion of neon bulls, green glass bottle lights and blackboards with the day’s specials. Start with some tapas, including the fried goat cheese balls and gluten-free lamb cutlets, then move onto a gourmet paella which is cooked to order and served in a traditional pan. Make sure you leave room for the churros with cinnamon sugar and chocolate vodka sauce though! Is your mouth watering yet? Best dish: Provincial Big Pan paella
