Love the atmosphere of this place great place to have a beautiful meal on a cold winters night. Our waitress was not only efficient but also very frriendly and funny. Meals were tasty and well presented as usual my dessert was huge enough for two to share.

I always go back for the atmosphere of the restaurant. Although located in a hotel, the restaurant is very classy and the entrees in particular are of fine dining standard.

As always a great night out! Food is of a high standard - I has the beef cheeks which were soft and flavoursome, with great mash & broccolini. My friends enjoyed their food also. The wine list has some excellent Swan Valley wines.

I found the service was not quite up to my expectation, don't ever feel that you should have to go and look for staff to place an order. Not blaming staff perhaps the establishedment needs to look into more staff on those busy times.

Good food and drinks although we had to chase up our waiter for one of the drinks.. Not really a problem.

Absolutely stunning venue! The food, drinks & service was perfect and the garden is so beautiful and peaceful. Can't wait to visit again :)

Always a great feed here. Service was somewhat disappointing though, staff need to smile and be a little more friendly, though we didn't let one waitress spoil our evening.

About Rose and Crown

Crowning glory This National Trust property was built in 1841 and has been a rest stop for travellers since the earliest days of the Swan River Colony. Located in Guildford, on the gateway to the Swan Valley wine region, the hotel is a magnet for tourists and locals alike. Wearing the appellation of oldest WA hotel with pride, the venue still manages to be up-to-date and offers three venues to appeal to people wanting casual, formal and intimate dining. Locals have dubbed it the best beer garden in WA. Others rave about the gorgeous old architecture, the lovely garden and the romantic setting for dinner for couples, or the cosy setting by the fireplace in winter. The Rose and Crown is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with speciality menus for the bars during the week and an extensive pizza menu on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. If you are feeling hungry try the 300g King Henry port cutlet with prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and parmesan and rosemary gallette served with café de Paris butter. Best dish: house made Nero pasta with local fish, calamari, prawns, red chilli, extra virgin olive oil and white truffle oil with crispy basil
