No where near a two hat restaurant. Some of the dishes are disappointed. The scallop is so sour. The eel is nice. The pork itself was cooked nicely but it was way too salty. Can't taste anything but salt. The beef was with burnt vegetables and sorbet tasted like sugar. Very friendly staff.

Magnificent. Having been to many degustations I didn't think the Gold Coast could rival Melbourne. Well I was wrong. Sam Moore is an amazing chef. Food was fantastic especially the pork dish. The desert was a delight. The wines could be improved given the wonderful range we have in Australia especially in Victoria. For eg the late harvest reisling was a too tart but the lemon sorbet was a treat. Watch out Ben Shewry and Shannon Bennet - there's a major competitor for you in Sam. Thank you Room 81.

The service was ok, expected more from a 'fine dining' establishment. The food portions were tiny and our chosen meal the 5 course degustation was served over 2 and a half hours, which may appeal to some but was too long for us. We didn't enjoy the food either. The one positive thing I would say is the cocktails were good and reasonably priced. One visit was plenty I wouldn't return unless they made some drastic changes.

wonderful food. had the 7 course degustation menu. they are flexible and will change up to two courses. the chef can cook. no sauces covering up the food. just beautiful, complementary flavours presented in a most original way. a lot of thought and effort has gone into this menu.
