This was a spectacular dining experience! We loved the open plating area and the interaction with the chefs. The wine pairings were absolutely superb!! The staff were very passionate about the dishes and there was never a moment we were left waiting to ask a question or order something additional!

Beautiful degustation course! We had 7 course menu and each dish was very sophisticated and different from each other! There is an entertainment especially when the last dessert was served with nitrogen. Great choice for special occasions for couples.

A stand-out dining experience in Broadbeach. Innovative but grounded, this chef will have his followers; me included. An unusual setting for such high standard fare. Versace (Vanitas et al) should learn from this Scottish chef. Beautifully balanced, interesting food and the chef doesn't forget to feed you .... i.e. you don't leave hungry!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Food was exquisite! We had the Thursday project nights menu on holidays. Delicious bread with smoked butter, refreshing cured scallops to start followed by exceptional asparagus and egg dish, lobster tail with an intense bisque sauce, my favourite the pork and apple. Finishing the savoury courses with a lamb backstrap, tomato and artichoke puree dish. Dessert was spot on rubbarb, white chocolate gelato and pistachio. The staff were lovely and professional and the restaurant had great atmospher. Room 81 sports the Sofitel sofistication expected by the luxury brand. Highly ejoyed the addition of gold dusted blueberries topping my French martini. Strongly suggest the 6 course Thursday evening project night to all that love fine dining or exceptional food! Great way for the Chef's to showcase local produce and experiment with new flavour combinations executed to such a high standard. Will return when back in QLD.
