Great variety in the 7 course Degustation Menu. The portions were tiny however and my hubby was looking for a little more. Every course was scrumptious especially the chocolate sphere at the end. We really enjoyed it but slightly larger portions would be better.

We chose the 7 course degustation which we were really excited about experiencing…. It was a disaster! First course – French onion soup – cold and devoid of flavor, course two – hot and cold scallop – both stone cold – so sent back to the kitchen with a promise of a replacement plate as soon as possible… waited waited, then our third course arrival which we sent back as we had not had our second course. So, after the third strike, we paid for our drinks and left – hungry and angry. It is disgraceful that a $100 a head food only meal could be so terrible – particularly at an establishment like the Sofitel. Even more amazing is the performance, or lack of, of the restaurant staff. A terrible awful experience – so bad we chose a kebab from the take away across the road as a better option that enduring the remainder of this bad dining experience…..a very sour experience to sabotage our weekend away. We will not be back.

wonderful food, beautifully prepared and presented. the vegetarian menu must be the best on the gold coast. staff attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing.
