Rockpool is famous for beef and it didn't fail to impress. Tasty king prawn entree as well as a lamb entree that was so incredibly tender. Two delicious beef main courses with a side of fresh tomatoes, burrata and basil. Highly recommended to impress your date, or entertaining for business.

the food was very good, but maybe a touch expensive.

Fantastic steaks. Only comment would be to include a salad as part of the dish given how expensive the steaks are.

About Rockpool Bar & Grill Melbourne

Sizzling Style and Steaks When you want a steak—and not just any regular old steak, but the kind of steak you’ll be dreaming about for weeks—Rockpool is the place to go. Whereas Neil Perry’s Sydney restaurant revolves around seafood, Rockpool is all about the beef. Buried in the Crown Entertainment Complex in Southbank, Rockpool is dripping with style. From the staff’s uniforms to the table linens, everything here is finely pressed and thoughtfully presented without a detail overlooked. Of course that goes for the food too. Cavernous-like booths provide the ultimate in intimate privacy as you peruse the 80-plus-dish menu. Regional produce is the hero here, and even the simplest side dish is deftly handled with care. Needless to say, the steak is the leading favourite—and the world-class Wagyu the crème de la crème. But there are plenty of other dishes on offer too. Branch out and try the confit duck or flathead, or perhaps the rotisserie chicken. Enjoy exquisite dining in absolute style at Rockpool. You won’t regret it. Best Dish: Wagyu steak
