Service and atmosphere was great however i asked my steak cooked medium and half of it was rare and close to blue. I left them on the plate and ate the rest which was cooked beautifully. When the waiter collected the plate and asked how my meal was i told him about the undercooked meat. He said he would tell the manager however no apologies received which was a little disappointing. Potato gratin was delicious and so was the starter wagyu beef sausage. Portion sizes are very generous.

4th time here, and it never dissappoints. The reason is the simple formula they follow; Exceptional ingredients cooked really well and with a lot of respect. Wine list extensive and great sommilier advice. The mood and ambience is sophisticated and relaxed. This is my favourite restaurant in Melbourne.

Lovely food although the tortellini was upgraded from an entree serve to a main but only received 3 prawns....found this dish overpriced.

The steak was sensational as always. Service this time wasn’t as immaculate as normal. For the first time bread and butter wasnt offered and was asked for twice before lately delivered. Sparking water wasnt topped up when empty, and finally ordered an extra sauce when placing our food order, this wasn’t delivered with the meal. Informed the waitress of this, she was apologetic and said she’ll be right back with it. This was forgotten and delivered after the meal was finished.

City Larder Dinner with Robbie Bell, $150pp

Rockpool are delighted to welcome back chef, Robbie Bell from City Larder for another wonderful dinner as part of the Rockpool Producer Series. Since leaving Rockpool four years ago, Robbie and his wife, Rebecca started the wonderful City Larder creating Melbourne's finest terrines, pates and rillettes. This dinner will celebrate some of City Larder's finest produce with Rockpool's signatures dishes, paired with exceptional wines. Tickets are $150 per person and are fully prepaid, plus 1.7% processing fee. The evening will be a relaxed family style event with communal seating and will kick off at 6.30pm for arrival drinks and seated at 7pm sharp. Please advise us on booking of any dietary requirements.
