This was a special occasion for my best friend. We had anticipated eagerly to the New Quay as we have had lovely dining experiences there prior to the renovation and menu reinvention. Unfortunately, we felt it was a bit of a let down on a few points. 1) We were seated upstairs which gave us a wonderful view but the tables were placed far too close to each other and instead of feeling the ambience of a fine dining restaurant, we felt like we were seated at a busy chattering bistro which is fine if that was where we had intended to be. 2) The food was well presented and the pork jowl was the stand out. The Coral was simple and elegant but the flavor lacked the WOW factor of the Snow Egg 3) The wait staff needs a bit of polishing if they want to keep up with the 3 Hatted standard. They were friendly and courteous but our pre-dinner cocktails order was missed and instead the wine to accompany our meal came first. The wait staff asked if we still wanted the cocktails but we decided to give them a miss. However, we were later presented with complimentary cocktails on the house which was a great gesture and we appreciate this. Thumbs up to the wait staff who had arranged this. Overall, the experience was pleasant but unremarkable.

We celebrated our anniversary along with a couple of friends. The last time we ate at Quay (approx 4 years ago) we were a little underwhelmed. However, this time we were hugely impressed - the food was incredible and the service was appropriately attentive.

The Service and food was excellent - This was for a special birthday occasion. The Drinks were also very impressive (Cocktails) The Gesture of the 7 Texture Chocolate cake was also lovley The only feedback I would provide - is though i appreciate the concept and nature of degustation - We could have experienced the food in about 30min to 1 hour less time - I still would have left raving about it!. I Understand you have the 6 course option and we took the 10 but simply cut down the time between gaps or ask the diners what pace they are looking for? Above all else the food is excellent - Peter Gilmore please pass on the highest compliments to your team you are truly setting a standard for dining in Australia

The service provided, particularly by Ben, was exceptional. Neither did we feel crowded or neglected. The service style was balanced in this respect. Both Ben and our sommelier provided easy to understand explanations of each course and accompanying wine. They were refreshingly friendly and pleasant without exhibiting the pompous airs and graces that we have experienced at other fine dining establishments. They made us feel very comfortable. Ben even escorted us to the correct lift to exit the building.

The restaurant exceeded our expectations! We were blown away by not only the views, but the amazing service. All the waiters/waitresses were extremely personable and knowledgeable. We loved the food and the fact that it was interactive and different. Please give our compliments to chef and our wait party (we were table 32 at 6:45). The whole experience was special and something we will remember for years to come

The service was absolutely first class, couldn't have been better. The food was okay but not as tasty as it could have been.

Our award winning Executive Chef Peter Gilmore is honoured to treat you with a unique Seven Course Menu, matched expertly with premium wines. At midnight guests will enjoy a glass of champagne as we ring in 2018 against the backdrop of one of the most famous fireworks display in the world. Full payment by credit card is required for all reservations at the time of booking, at a charge of $2,000 per person plus a processing fee of $55 per person. Please advise all dietary requirements at the time of booking. Should you need to cancel your reservation or reduce guest numbers within 30 days of the event date your payment will become non-refundable. For some early reservations, Quay offers our six course menu priced at $210 per person, along with a complimentary glass of Champagne to enjoy on arrival. Tables are booked for a period of 2 hours and will be re-booked shortly after this time. Credit card details are required to secure all reservations at the time of booking. Should you need to cancel your reservation or reduce your party size within 24 hours of your booking, a cancellation charge will be incurred. Christmas Day Lunch at Quay

CHRISTMAS DAY LUNCH AT QUAY: Enjoy a 5 course menu with a glass of champagne on arrival for $375 per person. Children's menu available at $190 per child. Full payment by credit card is required for all reservations at the time of booking, at a charge of $375 per person, including children, plus a processing fee of $10.31 per person.
