The sharing menu is deceptive. We ordered the softshell crab hoggie and received ONE whole soft shell crab sandwiched between two slider buns.

Food was great and caters to the foodie but a couple of not so great things; 1. Lots of dishes come with bread - I dined with a gluten intolerant diner and there wasn't a single thing they could offer. In Sydney metro I find this bizarre, so all the food was rich for her... Not even a cracker. 2. The yabbies were overcooked. 3. The service was excellent, but a little too good. It's a fine balance between great service and being over serviced.

About Pocket

Pocket rocket Sydney has a thriving small bar scene these days, but Pocket in Darlinghurst was one of the first players in the game. Several years on, this boozy inner-city is a great place to drink and dine... the interior is dark and close, and punters are invited to sit in deep comfy armchairs or perch on old church pews. These guys serve a mean cocktail so you’d be silly not to try one while you’re here - the ‘ugly duckling’ with muddled basil, lemon and ginger topped with sipsmith gin and a splash of sugar is a crowd pleaser. The menu is equally attractive and you’ll find all manner of eclectic bar snacks and a few select mains. We love the baked brie and prosciutto followed by the chipotle pulled pork with mango salsa and grilled flatbread. This place always fills up fast to make sure you book ahead! Best dish: crispy mac n cheese balls.
