An impressive restaurant that is held up as one of the places to go on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. In our experience, it was a very enjoyable experience let down a bit by all of the meals being brought to the table barely above warm - heating the plates before the meal is plated would make all the difference. Service was excellent and the wine list was a good read. Price is at the higher end, but we've seen worse.

Sit down in the window seat with point blank views of the beautiful beach with some crumbed smoked eel balls with baby mussels and you’ll quickly remember that you’re in the very capable hands of Pilu himself, with his years of expertise and modern flair making its way into each and every dish. Pilu has character and charm but oozes warmth and comfort. The desserts are almost as breathtaking as the views so do yourself and favour and order the corbezzolo honey mousse, spiced sponge, roasted macadamias and a Sardinian beer sorbet. It will be true icing on the cake after a memorable meal and superb service. Best dish: corbezzolo honey mousse.
