Much improved since having service issues when it opened, the Git is now a real local asset. Meat dishes are the speciality and are excellent. We had the special slow roasted goat and it was sublime. May not be for you if you don’t love meat. Service was friendly and generally efficient. Really interesting drinks mix, especially craft beers and gins, but a solid wine list too.

Food was great, highly recommend the dessert donuts. The pints were a little pricy but the service was good. Would go back again

We ordered a few small plates, the eye filler steak and Mussel special to share. The flavours were amazing ! Excellent service, variety of drinks and amazing food! Never disppoints!

Great for meat lovers. Staff are very good and have been there for the past couple of years, at least. Always a good sign.

At this neighbourhood eatery you will feel right at home in the casual environment providing a no bollocks dining and drinking experience. Inside, there's a large dining room as well as a standing room and stools at the polished timber bar offering a place for those 'drink only' types to perch. This is a buzzing bar and restaurant with terrific fare to match. From house made pork crackling to grass fed aged beef, the menu has it all to make your mouth water. Check it out.
