Food (oysters, ribs and steaks), drinks and service were sensational, but the dessert list didn't really appeal to us. We just wanted to finish dinner off with some cheese that was not on the dessert menu.

About No35

What’s your number? No 35 is Melbourne’s fine-dining wonderland atop a city peak. If you ever needed an excuse to go to the plush Sofitel Hotel, this is it. This restaurant is surrounded by ceiling-high windows, which reveal a stunning cityscape. The view here is really something. As long as you’re not afraid of heights, this awe-inspiring scene is sure to fire up your appetite. No35 is home to the masterful Martin Horsley, a chef whose passion for good isn’t hard to see. His menu is a blend of worldly flavours from areas far and wide, like the Japanese-inspired miso eggplant with creamy tofu and vegies, and the oh-so European seared duck breast with beetroot quinoa. No35 offers a pre-theatre menu and an a la carte menu, so whatever you’ve got planned for the night, No35 can fit right into your plans. This stunning restaurant is a lofty sanctuary of delights. Best dish: Braised lamb, slow cooked rib, hummus, roasted cucumber, chickpea and mint salsa, yoghurt foam
