We had about -7 dishes off of the main menu, all of which were equally outstanding. I wasn't expecting as much when I booked this restaurant but was pleasantly surprised. I will be returning to try out some of the other dishes on the menu and maybe even the summer tasting menu which is a bargain at $55. The standout dishes for me where the Crab Tortellini, Lamb Rump and Prawn/Aubergine Sandwich!

The restaurant was warm and welcoming. Great for people who like to sticky beak into its very effective kitchen. Food was good, noting several sharing dishes. The efficiency of the kitchen suited us (for we had other adventures planned around town). We managed a six-course degustation (no wine) in a little over an hour. All in all a lovely dining experience. The mango and sago desert left a lasting sweet impression.

I had the spring menu which consisted of 3 entrees a main and something sweet. The staff were amazingly friendly and helped by talking us through the menu. Each of the dishes were really tasty and I could fault nothing. The Dimmi 50% on food deal was definitely worth it and I'm definitely going back here for more. Thank you Dimmi! Wonderful Melbourne style casual restaurant- a gem - excellent service and great open kitchen which helps create a buzzy atmosphere. Creative menu with regular specials. I could eat there every day!

Mary our waitress was incredible, nothing was too much and she was charismatic and generally a nice person to be around. It topped off great food and wine in a wonderful venue

Mike’s Festive Menu $99 per person Mike’s sourdough bread, Pepe Saya butter Treacle cured ocean trout Burrata cheese, Forbes peaches, long rocket Crispy zucchini flowers Rolled & stuffed chook, garlic & rosemary Crispy pork belly, wood fired figs in verjus Roasted potatoes Mixed leaves & herbs Pavlova, banana & passionfruit *Menu is indicative only T&C Mike’s Festive Menu is charged at $99 per person. Drinks will be charged on consumption. Bookings of 8 or more guests will incur a 5% service charge as a large booking. Due to Mike’s Festive Menu being a set menu, it is essential that we are made aware of any allergy requirements within the party prior to the date of your booking. This will enable us to accommodate for your allergies as we have a strict no menu change policy upon arrival. We request that you provide your credit card details as a guarantee. Please note that we do charge a $49 per person ‘no-show’ fee so we kindly ask that you let us know if you can no longer attend this booking a minimum of 24 hours before. About No.1 Bent Street by Mike

Who is this Mike that we have been hearing so much about? Well, Mike is Mike McEnearney, formerly an Executive Chef at Rockpool and he has opened up a very unique dinning experience, based on a very simple concept. Mike aims to go against traditional dining norms and from this has created a cafeteria-style experience set in a Rosebery warehouse. The food is incredibly fresh and varies due to whats in season.
