We were really disappointed with this meal we had the seafood platter and the food was ordinary and presented poorly. The ambience and service was also not what we expected at a restaurant priced like this.

Service was good, view was good. However food was undesirable. We expected fresh oysters but two of the dozen we ordered were smelly we needed to return it. Seared Scallops was ok. Pan fried salmon had no taste and too overcooked. A disappointment for our first dinner in Hobart.

Service was unusually slow, but that didn’t detract from the excellent food, and actually gave us time between courses to ‘breathe’. Great food and wine menu as per usual.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. Limited wine list but a comprehensive cocktail menu. The food was excellent with local seafood particularly good. The dining occasion was let down by young inexperienced service staff who, although friendly, lacked a detailed knowledge of the cocktails and wine list in particular.

The Upper Deck restaurant is the Mures flagship venue with an international reputation. This stunning restaurant delivers the ultimate seafood experience and everything is locally sourced and prepared in house. The menu showcases seafood in all kinds of ways, playing with different cuisines and styles to deliver something really special. Start with a few oysters and then work your way through the rest of the a la carte offerings. Highlights include the "Seafood Indulgence Platter" (for two) and the Huon Atlantic salmon. The dessert menu and wine list are equally appealing so make sure you sample both. It's official, we're going on a see-food diet! Best dish: any of the seafood platters.
