A must for anyone visiting Melbourne's St. Kilda beach. Unbeatable views, reasonable prices.

We go back every year for a special occasion and it’s usually perfect. The atmosphere and setting still is but the food has taken a dive. No seasoning just average bland food. They must have changed chefs, they should consider changing again! Probably won’t be returning. Total disappointment and end to a great tradition.

We were the only customers in the restaurant yet after placing our initial order and aside from delivering meals to our table, we were never offered more drinks nor was our table cleared during the meal. I had to clear the table myself and load dishes onto an adjacent table in order to make space and not be staring at seafood whilst drinking coffee. We would have ordered more drinks had we been approached. Please provide more attentive table service and finger bowls with seafood dishes [marinara, mussels, etc.]. Outstanding food! Thank you!

The restaurant is beautifully situated with outstanding views across Port Phillip Bay. The service was excellent and the staff were switched on. The food was not wonderful but it could have been. The facilities were quite run down and not particularly clean. The restaurant needs a refit and a new chef with some flair rather urgently.

About Little Blue Restaurant

Feeling Blue? This fascinating restaurant sits right in the middle of St Kilda pier, enjoying 360 degrees of stunning views! You can see everything from the glittering Melbourne city on one side and the great green expanse of the sea on the other. Little Blue Restaurant has been around since the 1800s, when the old building on the pier was converted into a restaurant. Tragically, the original structure was burnt down in 2003, but luckily for happy diners, it was restored again for us to enjoy well into the future. With windows all around, the interior is bright and airy, and from the outside, the restaurant looks like a charmingly restored blast from the past. Little Blue Restaurant plates up all of our Australian classics, like juicy burgers including a spectacular soft shell crab number, as well as mouth-watering battered seafood and grills. The do breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as share platters. If you’re down at Port Philip bay, you’ve got no excuse to not hit this place up. You might even spot a penguin or two! Best dish: the trevally
