We had been really looking forward to this Dinner out; the view and service was great, the fish n chips were disappointing though; but the lamb rack was great.

This is a lovely spot at the end of a long pier in Melbourne's iconic St Kilda. We were a table of eight for Sunday morning brunch and the stuff were polite and helpful. My main complaint was that something a few of us ordered - the Mediterranean breakfast plate - came out very different from what was described in the menu. The menu said it came with a friend egg, beans, mushroom etc, and we assumed everything would be presented a bit like a Mediterranean tasting platter. Instead everything was mixed together (including the egg, which was not fried but seemingly cracked in the mixture shortly before putting on the plate). Chickpeas were not mentioned in the menu, but seemed to the main ingredient (I don't personally consider chickpeas a 'bean') and it was just an odd combo. Otherwise a lovely breakfast. The salami focaccia looked great (food envy!)

The service was exceptional, and food was great! Loved that my little dog was able to sit with us outside on the alfresco area. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Would definitely be visiting again.

Everything was deep fried, service was very poor.

Pretty average food. The food wasn't fresh and too salty. Ok service. The place was very dirty floors, tables and cushions. Old dirty couch on the corner to have a meal was not comfy. the toilets... chocking filthy. Very disappointed.

About Little Blue Restaurant

Feeling Blue? This fascinating restaurant sits right in the middle of St Kilda pier, enjoying 360 degrees of stunning views! You can see everything from the glittering Melbourne city on one side and the great green expanse of the sea on the other. Little Blue Restaurant has been around since the 1800s, when the old building on the pier was converted into a restaurant. Tragically, the original structure was burnt down in 2003, but luckily for happy diners, it was restored again for us to enjoy well into the future. With windows all around, the interior is bright and airy, and from the outside, the restaurant looks like a charmingly restored blast from the past. Little Blue Restaurant plates up all of our Australian classics, like juicy burgers including a spectacular soft shell crab number, as well as mouth-watering battered seafood and grills. The do breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as share platters. If you’re down at Port Philip bay, you’ve got no excuse to not hit this place up. You might even spot a penguin or two! Best dish: the trevally
