Food and wine were very good, except for the cheese plate, which was disappointing for a French restaurant. Some of the items on the menu were not available. I would eat here again.

This restaurant is a little hidden gem in Terrigal. Good food, good service and good range of wine. Their special deals for lunch and dinner are very good value. One day they might get a beachfront location which would be even better?!

I received an invitation to celebrate my birthday with a complimentary main meal and bottle of wine if my party was more than 4 adults. I had to remind the staff about the wine after he presented us the wine list. At the end of dinner, there was no complimentary main meal reflected on the bill so I had to remind the staff again. Furthermore there was an extra charge for bagette. This part was clearly a failure of communication amongst the staff. Food was great but service so-so.
Thank you for bringing this up to our attention, a complimentary main meal and bottle of wine for our VIP members on their birthday is a new initiative to our restaurant and as such it appears that the redeeming procedure needs a bit more work.

The food and service was excellent. We had two courses and found it hard to finish the meal. We didn't know the French wines so the waiter picked a lovely red to our usual preferred style. Is the best restaurant I have eaten at on the central coast.

Service was outstanding! I can't remember the server's name, but she was brilliant and had wonderful recommendations. The food was exceptional - the duck leg confit was divine. Will return the next time I'm back in Central Coast!

Great little place for typical fresh cuisine. Great service and good selection of wines. Food is typical French so no surprises there but great value on the meals with 3 courses for $60. Would definitely come back again! Very satisfied!

About Le Chat Noir

Your luck’s in Black cats Le Chat Noir means 'the black cat', meaning good luck or bad luck depending on your point of view. But whatever your perspective, your luck is definitely in when you are dining at Le Chat Noir in Terrigal, as a little bit of France seems to have found its way to the Central Coast. Specialising in European fare, Le Chat Noir offers a great venue with a French atmosphere for small or large groups and weddings and functions for up to 150 people. Although it can accommodate bigger parties, don’t think that Le Chat Noir won’t be romantic enough for dinner for two – it will, and regulars comment that, if you book late enough for the kiddies in the family groups to have gone home, the restaurant has a lovely “date night” feel.
