This is a great local .. all restaurant, little-to-no space for just a drink. One of the best places to visit for great Southern USA style food. We had fish tacos and the Smokers Lot (great beef brisket, Pulled pork and soft chicken .. average sausage) terrific coleslaw and Mac 'n' Cheese to die for .. will be back when next in town.

we had a 3 set menu and a 2 hour seating 6 to 8pm however the mains arrived at 7.30 and were cleared for dessert at 7.45pm... i think that the mains should have come out earlier so we had more time to eat it...

I was bragging to a friend how much I enjoyed the food at Le Bon Ton that they wanted to try it for themselves. We made a last minute booking through Dimmi, we arrived 30min early and was able to squeeze in two rounds of their signature cocktails. Highly recommend the Hurricane and the Piña Colada - you get a pretty umbrella and decorative straw not to mention the flavours are well balanced. We spent approx $250 between 3 people inc drinks. Hero dishes were the fried chicken and make sure you save room for the banana cream pie. Oh and the onion rings are a must however the jalapeño cornbread were too spicy for me. Would love to see just a standard cheddar cornbread on the menu for those who don't like their chilli. We maximised our visit for the whole two hour seating, the staff were nice just a little hard to push through a lot of people to get to the bar. Apart from a cold breeze that kept coming through the back door on a Melbourne Winter night, the ambience was spot on taking you back to that era and keeping up with the theme throughout the venue. Do yourself a favour and try this place.

Quite a loud environment. Food was good quality but there was too much spice on some meats which spoiled the flavor.

About Le Bon Ton

A super-cool smokehouse saloon Collingwood is known for just being, just well, cool - and Le Bon Ton fits perfectly into the neighbourhood… it’s a New Orleans-inspired oyster saloon, smokehouse, cocktail bar and absinthe den that’s just perfect for late night boozing. The concept is as unique, as is the space it’s housed in. Stripped back to its shell, owners (and brothers) Will and Mick Balleau peppered the space up with recycled timber furnishings and champagne boxes, giving it a rustic yet stylish feel. The outdoor astro-turf area adorned with fairy lights is a magical place to be if you can score a seat. It’s where Texas-raised Jeremy Sutphin, oversees two offset smokers and a big cabinet smokehouse where eight, seven-kilogram Riverina grain-fed Angus beef briskets and four pork shoulders are turned and smoked for up to 16 hours. Drool. Get on down to Le Bon Ton. Best dish: Le Bon Ton Cheeseburger - 150g Wagyu beef patty & crispy bacon with cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, pickles, spicy ketchup and aioli.
