Overall really good flavours and great looking presentations on a minuscule scale. I like the shared plate concept although one need to be polite and hold back from taking the entire portion eg. We had to scrape every sliver of wagyu carpaccio off the board. It was melt in your mouth bits though. We returned a confit of trout as both of us found an odour from the flesh. The salad on the board was really pretty. Shame. But in its place the roasted piece of pork was accompanied with a delicious hoi sin based sauce. Scallops well cooked and seasoned. Chef surprisingly did not attend to ask why a plate was returned. That dish was not charged nor was anything complimentary. Like nothing happened. The pav was very good. My piece of Brie was a tiny melted sliver with more rind than cheese. The chef obviously have good flavours but I had a bag of crisps for afters later to sustain my 50 plus kg frame after 4 shared plates and 2 desserts and bottle of wine for 2.

Absolutely love this place, have been twice and can't fault a thing. The best place to dine in Busselton - staff are superb and food is absolutely beautiful. I tell all my friends about The Laundry - Highly recommended - So much so I will be taking my cousin there next week to show it off!

About Laundry 43

Laundry 43's ethos: "FOOD, MIXOLOGY, MUSIC, ART" BUSSELTON. A sleepy town known for its giant jetty, beautiful beaches and rich history. A stones throw away from the Margaret River wine region it boasts the same access to world class wine and produce. Laundry 43 is the latest gastronomic addition to the region. For us Hospitality is "for the love of strangers" from morning to night it is about delivering a memorable experience for whomever walks through our doors FOOD: In this strain of thought our innovative menu is designed to be as social as possible, served in a shared style one plate at a time. No matter if you are two people or twenty people we accommodate our dining style to suit you. This gives us the opportunity to showcase a kaleidoscope of flavours, textures and techniques; bringing the farms and oceans of the south-west region to you, our guest. MIXOLOGY: Not only do we pride ourselves on having some of the best chefs and waitstaff in the region, we are also fortunate enough to have extremely talented bar team. With the skills and knowledge to make you "whatever you like" the bar has a signature cocktail list, extensive wine list focusing on Margaret River with worldly additions and a beer list focused on quality craft style beers. MUSIC: Friday night live @ Laundry 43. EVERY Friday night we offer a select musician from the region to entertain the discerning drinker. 8.30 kick-off, FREE entry. We also have a series of large music events that have featured the like of Eugene "Hideaway" Bridges (USA) and guitar virtuoso Lloyd Spiegel (Melb) ART: Converting a century old building into a bar + restaurant wasn't an easy task, but the result is breathtaking. Staying true to the roots of its history Laundry 43 takes full advantage of the original brickwork, roof structures and floorboards. Add a contemporary lounge bar area with handmade brick bar, bar tops made from local timber and a hand painted circa 1920's feature wall (by Perth street artist Michael Hartley) you will be immersed into a world where you can imagine you are in any time period or country. All this from the humble beginnings of an old steam laundry.
