Pretty good service and a good variety of food on the menu. Seafood is fresh and a great place to chat with friends and people watch on George street.

Everything except the quality of food is acceptable. Booths are cozy, no loud music even though you are sitting next to karaoke booths, self ordering system all great. I think they are more catered for people who go for karaoke (they have lot of karaoke booths which looked very nice) than serving good food as a restraint should. Sashimi was nice, gyoza and tempura acceptable, fried salmon skin stay away, ramen tasted like instant noodles with a hard boiled egg.. In short food is not good so if your reason is to have a good meal, find somewhere else. And Google maps if you search by name will take you somewhere else.

About Lantern By Wagaya

Karaoke and sushi? Yes please! Lantern by Wagaya in Sydney’s CBD is the younger sibling of Wagaya at Haymarket, and offers karaoke as well as relaxed and entertaining Japanese dining. On offer is a large variety of Japanese dishes so it’s ideal for large groups who are happy to share. Grab a table and order your meal on the touch screen computer station that is at each table - it’s not only efficient, it’s also great fun! If you’re in the mood for a few drinks and laugh, book a private karaoke room and enjoy the live entertainment of your own making while you eat. Be sure to keep an eye on the specials menu as there some great lunchtime deals going on. Best Dish: housemade dumplings.
