Really interesting restaurant concept combining rock n roll and Japanese dining. Food was super delicious and house sake was really tasty!

Very happy with the presentation and flavours of dishes, have already recommended Kid Kyoto to a few friends. The calpis granita is especially refreshing for a summers evening

Great service, interesting dishes, great atmosphere and decor. Better ventilation would be good, gets very smokey from the open kitchen.

Really lovely food, great service and our one vegan int he group was catered for perfectly. Something fun and different in the city, a change from stuffy corporate restaurants. One negative was that the music was a tad too loud.

About Kid Kyoto

Kid Kyoto. Where alternative rock meets unexpected Japanese. Kid Kyoto, a rebellious Japanese izakaya themed by music of the 80's and 90's - an era that encouraged its listeners to be different - turns up the heat on contemporary Japanese cuisine. Head Chef Seb Gee and his team hero izakaya-style cooking, using fresh Australian produce. Stand out acts include the Blackened Oyster with pickled ginger, Japanese tartare and kimchi granita, Table Smoked Salmon with wasabi pea and nori and the Black Hold Sun Pork Belly with nori jame, apple and pickled radish. The drinks menu includes a comprehensive wine selection, Japanese beers, premium sakes, whiskey, gin and cocktails. Kid Kyoto, features a semi-private dining room and an exclusive Chef's Table. At the Chef's Table, your chef is inspired by the playlist for the evening to create a unique menu. So, come as you are and see how the music wrote the menu.
