Went back to Iron Chef and was bitterly disappointed by the service. The restaurant was busy on Sunday however with 3 managers walking around I would expect to be able to order my meal in a timely manner. When we were ready to order I raised my hand and waited... 5 mins have past and a few more members of my table joined. After about 15mins and 5 people with our hands up not one manager came to our table to take our order. My mother in-law was fed up and walked up and grabbed a manager who followed her back but somehow he walked to the wrong table... when she went to ask him again he brushed her aside and said give me 1 minute... he never returned and purposely avoided our table for the rest of the night. This time my father in-law walked up and grabbed a second manager who made it to our table. It was about 30mins of waiting before we ordered our meal. He did not apologise for the wait and advised if you want to make a complaint go speak to the front counter... no acknowledgement just arrogance! As the ordering process was so painful I didn't enjoy the food like I normally do. The service provided was appalling and I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

About Iron Chef

Allez cuisine! Although not connected in any way to the popular competitive TV cooking show that has run for years on SBS, this Chinese restaurant in Cabramatta is still a winner. It is best to go here when you are dining out with a big group and can order a range of sharing dishes from the vast menu, such as the Sang Choy Bow or the Peking Duck, which comes with delicately steamed pancakes, spring onions and hoisin sauce. But seafood is the main game here, so your best bet is to go for a selection of fishy treats such as salt and pepper calamari, satay king prawns, seafood hotpot or shark’s fin soup. If you want to go all out, try the house specialty called Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, which is a slow cooked dish full of “precious Chinese delicacies including a variety of dried seafood that is so sumptuous even a vegetarian monk would be tempted”. As the Chairman on the Iron Chef TV show would say: Allez cuisine! Best dish: Honey glazed barbecued pork
