My family came here before going to a concert at the City Recital Hall. It was like going to a speak easy with unmarked stairs and door into the restaurant. The 1960s music and funky decor matched the wonderful food. As we had two family members with gluten free needs, INDU's menu was perfect. The food devine! We are booked to go back.

Hi The food was lovely - we had to wait quite a while between a couple of dishes - but the wait was worth it.

Service was a bit slower than usual at lunch today, staff super pro and food spectacular as usual though.

This place just gets better - although ask for it authentic if you like spicy. Service was top notch and a good range of wines available. Given where it is (Martin Place on Saturday night- the place was pumping - so it has to be good!). Looking forward to our next return !

Would be appreciate if they are not that pushy with the bill. We booked at 6.30 and they told us we can have the table until 8.30. But by 7.10pm when we finished our food the waitress start to be pushy for the bill and the next step just ask to us pay.

Fantastic food which is designed to share. Came here as have a vegetarian friend and they have a great mix of vegetarian and meat dishes. Even though I’m not vegetarian I really enjoyed having a meat free meal as each item was cooked perfectly with wonderful rich flavours coming through with each bite.
Thank you for your amazing review! I am thrilled we could cater to everyone on the table despite dietary requirements. That is what we aim for here at INDU, to make everyone on the table happy! We hope to see you again soon!

About INDU

Fresh and flavoursome Indian cuisine? Say what? For those of you who think that Indian food is greasy, heavy and unhealthy, Sam Prince and his team are about to squash that pretty darn quickly with Indian eatery Indu. Found in the basement of the heritage listed building at 350 George Street Indu will give those at the northern end of the city a great taste of Indian cuisine. Inspired by the villages and coastal regions of India’s south, the food here is fresh and won’t bog you down. Best dish: flame-seared tumeric cured salmon, cardamon aioli and pickled fennel
