We had a great dinner at Indian Empire when we were on holidays up on the Gold Coast. Small restaurant, but with great flavours and choices. If you like Indian and don't just order butter chicken - give it a try.

Amazing food at Indian Empire. We all tried different entrees and mains and each was delicious. I ask for a medium butter chicken and the curry was hot and delicious. Drinks were well priced and service was very good. We will definitely be back.

The owner and wait staff are very friendly and happy to accommodate requests. This restaurant recently won acclaimed food awards and it shows why.

About Indian Empire

Runaway India Not far from the clear waters of Runaway Bay you’ll find the Indian Empire restaurant offering all your Indian faves plus a few you may not have tried. It’s clear that regular diners are smitten with the food, which ranges from chicken saagwala, lamb korma, fish curry, prawn masala, assorted curries and more. You can dine in, or they’re happy to deliver. The décor is not your typical look at this kind of restaurant – they’ve gone in for subtle wall decorations and high-backed woven chairs giving the place an elegant and sophisticated vibe. Clearly enjoying loyalty from locals in the neighbouring suburbs, Indian Empire is worth a drive to check out the nearby water views. Then tuck into the fluffy jasmine rice and a basket of naan to mop up the juices left after you’ve devoured the dhinghri mattar (mushroom and pea curry) billed as a diner favourite. Best dish: Seafood platter with octopus, bugs, prawns and fish marinated in light spices and cooked in tandoor
