Good ramen and sushi and service is great They need to work on better answering phones and customer emails - it’s always impossible to get a response from the various times we have tried to contact them and it’s frustrating!

Great food and service. Limited menu but all dishes were tasty and well thought out.

Best ramen in Sydney! I love the ambience of the restaurant, and service staff are always great :) Ramen portions might be small so order sides!

Wonderful Food, Ramen to die for! Entree items also very well done. Interesting drinks selection, rare to have Asahi black on tap. Will return again!

GOGYO is a Sydney neighbourhood gem that has it all but its ramen bowls take centre stage. Their Kogashi-style ramen involves a special charring technique that’s something to be experienced. And the best bit? It’s more than affordable making it great for everyone, from big groups to individual diners with a ramen craving. A refuge from the busy streets of Surry Hills, this Japanese restaurant is all about the details. It’s designed with exposed brick, wood and slate and is kitted out with multi-coloured retro ramen bowls, elegant glassware and traditional Japanese baskets for your belongings. Their specialty ramen isn’t the only thing that’s tempting. Their pulled pork buns, Angus beef and seared salmon sushi rolls are great sides. Vegetarians are taken care of too, with the veggie soba and other tasty meat-free dishes. If you needed any more convincing that you’ll be tucking into authentic Japanese cuisine, this is the sixth restaurant in the chain, with the others residing in Kyoto, Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Hong Kong. Sit back, relax, take a sip of one of their signature cocktails or Asahi black (on tap!) and dig into a steaming bowl of ramen – it’s a taste sensation.
