Beautiful surroundings and great staff. We were there for lunch and the food was fantastic. The only comment would be to improve road signage and directions to the carpark for out of towners like myself.

We went for a family lunch during the carnival of flowers. Some of us chose off the menu and others had the $28 express lunch which included a glass of wine. Everyone was extremely happy with their meals. Apparently the beetroot gnocchi was a definite winner.

The food is amazing, and the service is second to none. This is the second time we have been and this was for our anniversary. We will be back. Fantastic job by the chef and staff. Thank you. Terry and Theressa pope.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. However, as it was Valentines Day I wish there had been some effort into special décor - for example rose petals on the table, a rose on the table, some hearts or streamers for decoration, some romantic music playing. It was all very bland and clinical.

Service was great, just the toilets were very hot due to the air conditioners motors are located just in the front of the toilets, it was as warm as a sauna. Other than that we had a great time !!!

We had an enjoyable night, food was great especially when we needed special dietary requirements, the only thing that was annoying was the service we asked for a wine list twice then when we needed a drink we had to chase someone down.. and then our drinks still didn’t turn up which lead us chasing them down again!! We also watched people waiting for ages to be attended too!! Table service needs attention!!

About Gip's Restaurant

Relax in the beautiful garden on a sunny afternoon. At home in Toowoomba’s most historical building, Clifford House, Gip’s Restaurant was named after the historical owner’s much loved dog. You’ll immediately feel the peace and quiet in the beautiful garden courtyard at Gip’s. On a chilly day, head into the restaurant for a casual yet sophisticated dining experience. Open from breakfast to dinner, visit Gip’s at any time of day for a catch up with friends or quiet dinner with your partner. The menu is diverse and generous with hearty dishes from Bunya pork belly to beef cheeks served with caramelised onion risotto. The atmosphere at Gip’s is not one that can be easily replicated. Best dish: Roast Grimaud duck breast served with smoked sweet potato, brussel sprouts, speck, walnuts and sour cherry compote.
