Wednesday night was quite busy, the restaurant was almost full. but I think I didn’t pick the right dishes. I remembered I enjoyed meals very much last time I was here.

Excellent food, relaxing atmosphere, expensive but quality justifies it. Good for sharing dishes.

A very fine place to have dinner in an entirely new and chic area in Brisbane. Fancy without the fuss, perfect suggestions (without pushing to buy), great mix of Middle Eastern influence and modern take. A must!

About Gerard's Bistro

Getting flashy in the Fortitude Valley... Located on the flash James Street precinct in the Fortitude Valley, Gerard's Bistro is a one-of-a-kind culinary destination that has earned praises from the country’s toughest critics - and for good reason! Head Chef, Ben Williamson has incredible knowledge of Middle Eastern and African cuisine which he weaves into his food using traditional techniques. The result? Well, the food speaks for itself, it’s the work of a master! The modern decor is refreshing and relaxed with bespoke furniture and colourful Moroccan mosaics. If there’s one dish to try, it’s one that the chef is proud of...enter, giant octopus. The succulent tentacles are imbued with a pungent smoky flavour from its encounter with the charcoal grill while the octopus itself glistens with unctuous smoked butter. This restaurant and bar is certainly worth your time. Best dish: charcoal grill octopus
