About Foveaux Street Dining

Foveaux Street Dining: making wine bars fun again Fine dining restaurant, Foveaux has been reborn as Foveaux St Dining and Deli Wine Bar - and it’s got a hot new look! The Surry Hills eatery celebrates family, friends, food and wine - with a far more relaxed and flexible approach to dining than the original restaurant. Owner Darrel Felstead and head chef Paul Gordon designed the menu together, showcasing fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local Sydney markets and proveedores, with snacks, oysters, entrees, mains and dessert all part of the mix. The Brook trout with smoked eel, shaved beetroot and fermented beetroot dressing, with a side of al dente greens in lemon, garlic and oregano is one for Instagram, while for meat lovers, the braised tamarind short rib with roast tri-tip will go down a treat. Settle in amongst the red banquettes, elegant low lighting, exposed brick wall and floor-to-ceiling wine racks and you’ll feel right at home. Order solo, share with friends, or choose to be fed via the six-course banquet, there are plenty of options available at Foveaux. Hats off to Felstead for the re-birth of Foveaux Street Dining. Best dish: the Brook trout with smoked eel, shaved beetroot and fermented beetroot dressing
