The service was absolutely faultless. Food was amazing and plenary of it. We sat at the bar and got to watch the chefs in action. It’s a well oiled machine.

The dishes were all presented by the chef and made me of beautiful, fresh local ingredients with a clever twist. Service was attentive and we can't recommend it highly enough for a Hunter Valley dining experience!

EXP was stunning. Great, inventive food that combines inventiveness with local ingredients, served with elegance and personality. The full menu is an epic journey through texture and flavour. An absolute must-visit if you're in the region and want a dining experience that challenges your view of great food, and opens your eyes to the world around you.

Good quality food made with locally sourced ingredients. The kangaroo was surprisingly very tender. I enjoyed every dish besides the emu, which had a strange (acquired?) taste. Amazing customer service with romantic atmosphere. Highly recommended for adventurous eaters.

The restaurant is located in Pokolbin, the heart of the Hunter Valley. The dining room is chic and intimate with hand crafted furniture. Guests can sit along the bar and peer directly into the kitchen while interacting with Chef Frank Fawkner and his team. The restaurant garden sits just beyond the confines of the dining room. Best dish: Warm Blue Cheese, brioche, honey.
