Excellent quality and well mannered and respectful service with a smile. Enjoyed that I wasn’t too close to other diners as the layout was not crammed. Will definitely go back

The potion of food was a bit less than expected. Overall the taste was great and serve very quick after placing order.

Great as always! Love coming for dinner - casual but special! Food is great not your usual Japanese - rather Japanese with a twist!

About En Izakaya

Turning Japanese This lovely Japanese restaurant, En Izakaya, is a special environment indeed, with its unusual wooden ’kaminka’ style furnishings - literally meaning ’wood without nails’. The dark timbers are subtle enough to really showcase the colours of the kitchen with lovely presentation displayed on their small plates, as much of the food is designed to share. Contemporary methods of Japanese cooking are on show here and they have an extensive wine list and selection of drinks - useful when their kanji character in the name actually translates to ‘drinking party’. Come here for a special occasion, first date or a business meeting, and leave feeling as though you have been fed from the inside of your soul outwards. For lunch you can choose from three set menus to represent the dishes on offer, or enjoy individual dishes such as a shiitake omelette with Japanese fermented soy beans, or seared momen tofu with miso infused eggplant. Best dish: pan seared duck breast with shiitake mushroom and Japanese black vinegar
