Margarit's and tacos are never bad and we enjoy both of these here. The cabana's are always cute to sit in, and you could almost feel like you're on holiday. We come here often. Definitely worth a visit and for weekend lunches it is nice and quiet. (today even though , it was still hard to get waitress attention. )Splitting bills on paywave these days is easy and every restaurant does it, but here it was old school complicated which needs to update really.

Love the decor, good food and friendly staff. I believe the Chapulines was far too small serve it was served in a tiny dish it wasn't even full.

We went as two families and want to split the bill 50:50 they wouldn’t allow us to do this. No split bills. I could understand if there were multiple people splitting the bill, but two families 50:50...showed zero flexibility and understanding. A very negative end to an enjoyable night.

Food came out nice and quick, delicious as usual. The plantain chips are our fave!! Service was great, however I feel that the waiters could smile more, they seemed a low in energy. Bartenders were great and didn't take long for my drink to be ordered and made :)) Thanks for a great night and keep up the good work guys!!

Overall the service was really good. Drinks came out before food :)) our waitress did mess up our order and we were missing tacos that we ordered but did not have to wait long for them to come out. I come to wo topo on a weekly basis and it’s kind of confusing having multiple waiters taken care of our table. Keep up the great work guys!! Killing it as usual!!

About El Topo

Welcome to Mexico… in Bondi. You’ll feel like you’re in Mexico as soon as you enter El Topo - maybe its the traditional bright decor, maybe it’s the salty breeze blowing in from nearby Bondi Beach, or maybe it’s the sound of clinking glass and smell of tequila - whatever it is this place has done a pretty good job of seducing Sydneysiders with its Mexican charm. On the menu you’ll find some superior Mexican classics, including corn-smothered-in-chipotle mayo, a warming rich stew of clams, chorizo and prawns and some familiar quesadillas and taco options. (There are also fried crickets on offer for anyone feeling particularly brave). You can’t leave without sampling one (or two) of their dangerously good cocktails - the Tikki Collins and the Coconut Margarita are the clear winners. This place is too damn good to miss - get down there! Best dish: slow cooked beef short rib with chipotle sauce, cherry tomatoes, mexi churr, jicama, fennel & coriander salad.
