Tapas were very good and came to the table nice and hot. Entree and dessert were slow at coming out. Service was very friendly and accomodating. Overall an enjoyable experience and would definitely go back.

About El Burro

Spanish feasting and sangria galore It is hard to walk past a Spanish restaurant, knowing that the likelihood is very good that you will be offered large platters of food with exotic flavours that you cannot replicate at home. It’s exactly the case at El Burro, with a fabulous Tapas menu that makes it the ideal place to bring a family group or celebration with friends to enjoy banter around one of their long wooden tables, enjoying the hustle and bustle of this popular eating hole. Excellent jamon is a sign of a great Spanish eatery and this place has wafer-thin slices of one of the best versions of it, which, along with steamed mussels in white wine with chilli and garlic, and delicious Spanish meatballs in spicy tomato sauce are some of the more popular sharing dishes. Vegetarians are well taken care of with one of the best vegetarian paellas around, along with a seafood or meat version. The house-made ice-cream is a talking point, the perfect dessert to wash down the spicy dishes you enjoy prior. Lastly, if you cannot fit in the time or space for a feast here then why not stop in for a plate of Churros and a glass of sangria to end the night – it’s the stuff dreams are made of. Best dish: chorizo with balsamic onion jam, goat’s cheese and cherry tomato
