Food was fresh and flavoursome . Only negative comment would be that we didn’t receive something that we ordered and the plates etc took quite some time to be removed from the table. . It was a very busy night so that may have been why. I will return.

Amazing traditional Lebanese food, so filling and great flavours!! Make sure you go hungry. The entertainment provided from the belly dancing was great too.

Dunyazad is best in a group so you can order lots of different foods.

This was my second visit to restaurant, disappointed service was not great never asked if we wanted more drinks after first drinks were ordered - we got the Open Banquet we asked for more salad - apart from that was not asked if we would like to re order a dish we enjoyed mains we just put on table and that was it

Very nice food and the open banquet is so fulfilling and a great idea to get value for money but I wish if there were a few more options on the menu.

Waiters did not clear the table after we had finished eating. However, great food and lovely atmosphere.

About Dunyazad

Aladdin’s Cave Glowing lanterns. Exotic fabrics. Ornaments. And a vivid ‘Arabian Nights’ mural. No we’re not talking about the movie set of Aladdin. We’re talking about the lively Middle Eastern restaurant, Dunyazad. Located just off the main drag in North Balwyn, this neighbourhood gem doesn’t give much away from the outside, but inside, it's like Aladdin’s cave. The menu is authentically Middle Eastern with intricately spiced and flavoured dishes like samkee harrah (fish of the day seasoned with garlic, coriander and walnuts, topped with tahina sauce and paprika) and vegetarian betijan (fried eggplant with yoghurt and mint sauce on a bed of saffron rice served with green beans). Come on Friday and Saturday nights for an even livelier dining experience, and watch in awe as the dazzling belly dancers put on a showstopping performance. Best dish: samkee harrah
