The chef Max is doing a great job. His enthusiasm and drive is evident in the innovative food which is so tasty and delicious. We were so well looked after by Jason who made our special occasion so memorable. Jason really cares about his customers and it was also great to chat to Max. A cracker night at Cho Cho San… What do you get when you mix a young gun chef, a seasoned restaurateur, a hot Sydney architect and a prime piece of real estate? Cho Cho San of course. A mod Japanese Izakaya that pays respect to Japanese cuisine while simultaneously taking it to the street as small-dish, cocktail-friendly bar food. Perch up on the stool-lined concrete bar for a steamed bun (of course) filled with rolled, smoked duck, hoisin and pickled cucumber or a seriously sensational sliced petuna ocean trout (from the raw bar), dressed with a mix of soy, mirin, black pepper and wasabi. To be frank, no choice is a bad one, so go with your gut and just enjoy the intelligent, easy and delicious food from a cracker team. It’s magic. Best dish: Petuna ocean trout
