One of our favourite places, delicious food, the best service. Black sesame mochi ice cream is the best!

Standard has been maintained thru the years. A great spot to go back time after time to get that same great taste. EXCEPT the fried chicken has got a curry powder taste to it which I don't recall it tasting like that before and though it wasn't offensive, I still miss the old style fried chicken as it enhances the lemon juice and the mayo where as the curry flavouring just make the whole dish a little taste overkill.

Really lovely food! We had most of the raw dishes, the charcoal chicken, katsu buns, king prawns, eggplant sticks, beans, mushroom rice, lamb, mochi, ice cream, tiramisu... everything was seriously amazing!

Nice food overall, the portion is a little bit too small. I would give 8/10 for foods. However, the service was really bad considering it is a fine dining restaurant.

We had wonderful service from Jason who is so knowledgeable about wine and suggested lovely dishes and wine to accompany them. The food is delicious and innovative and flavours are beautiful. Jason really cares about his customers’ experience and we are most grateful for his care and personal attention. A great night.

An excellent restaurant with lovely, delicious food. Great service also and excellent suggestion of a lovely Mornington peninsula Pinot noir to match the food by the friendly and knowledgeable sommelier. A great night and we will be back next week!

A cracker night at Cho Cho San… What do you get when you mix a young gun chef, a seasoned restaurateur, a hot Sydney architect and a prime piece of real estate? Cho Cho San of course. A mod Japanese Izakaya that pays respect to Japanese cuisine while simultaneously taking it to the street as small-dish, cocktail-friendly bar food. Perch up on the stool-lined concrete bar for a steamed bun (of course) filled with rolled, smoked duck, hoisin and pickled cucumber or a seriously sensational sliced petuna ocean trout (from the raw bar), dressed with a mix of soy, mirin, black pepper and wasabi. To be frank, no choice is a bad one, so go with your gut and just enjoy the intelligent, easy and delicious food from a cracker team. It’s magic. Best dish: Petuna ocean trout
