Cozy little French bistro with generous portion sizes and delicious meals. We had a great night!

Great Food, Sensational Service - thoroughly enjoyed the evening & the meals - entree, main & dessert, plus a nice bottle of Shiraz.

Service was lame. Food as OK but nothing to take your hat off. If you looking for something different, I would try somewhere else.

Consistently exceptional! An excellent menu and probably the most authentic French dining experience in Melbourne. The duck l'orange is a real shining star for me.

Absolutely lovely restaurant, always ready to come back again

Food was wonderful. Service a little slow but every table was occupied so that was not an issue. Lots of menu choices for both food and wine. Bit pricey but again that is not an issue for us. We will definitely be back.

Fourth time here and every visit has been spectacular! The tournedos rossini is our favourite dish but the rest of the menu is also wonderful.

About Chez Olivier - Le Bistro

Can’t go wrong! Whether you feel like a crisp, light lunch in the dining area, or a fully-fledged and committed degustation with the end result of sinking into a large lounge afterwards, you can enjoy the ambience that is Chez Olivier. It is one of the loveliest French restaurants in town. Here you will find traditional dishes such as escargot– snails cooked in garlic – or a beautiful goats’ cheese salad. But whilst they use traditional French recipes, they also like to use exclusively Australian ingredients and in a style that is their own interpretation of what it is to be Australian. Here the sophisticated and caring staff urge you to thoroughly read the menu and take your time in ordering. And you will not be disappointed when the food arrives. Pop in for one of their well-loved Duck and Pinot nights on a Wednesday, or even speak with them about having your next work or social event here under the guidance of their function staff. Their wine list is smart, their staff even smarter and the food is of the very highest quality. Best Dish: Boeuf Bourgignon
