Bungalow 8 has recently gone through a refurbishment and it is now fresh, clean and revamped. The service is still great but it just feels new and alive.

One of my guests received her meal much later than the rest (as she chose a vegetarian option), and I was given a refund on her behalf and a free drink to make up for it. However, I wasn't told that I had a refund for her meal but that it came from someone else's drink instead. My friend had to order another meal from the vegetarian meal as we were told that they didn't have what she wanted but this was done after my other guests received their food and she didn't receive hers after a little while. If I was told about this whilst I was ordering food for everyone else earlier, this would have made things a lot smoother

Manager was very rude and disrespectful. He must of had short man syndrome. Bungalow 8 should really consider making a few changes to the management team.

We went there because of the Gluten Free options available due to one of the guests having coeliac disease. We were then told that non of the GF options (marked as Gluten Free on the menu) were totally gluten free, that there was either gluten in the meal (sauce etc) or it was cooked on the same pan / grill as gluten items. In the end, despite there being many GF options, our friend could not eat any of them. The staff were not at all helpful in regards to this, and as the rest of the party had already ordered and paid, we had to eat our meals in front of our friend who could eat nothing. The menu is completely mis leading causing a potential health risk for coeliac sufferers. This is a serious disease and it not "trendy" or just choosing not to eat gluten. It is an auto immune disease. I have dined at Bungalow8 many times and recommended it to friends, but I will NEVER dine there again or recommend it. I have put in a formal complaint to Food Safety Australia due to the seriousness of this misleading information for those will allergies. Very disappointed.
