Although nice The Stamford has lost that extra effort and sparkle it used to have.

We had seafood buffet lunch yesterday , prawns and Oysters were good but crabs and Moreton Bay bug were so so. Limited hot food and dessert selection Probably won’t go there again

We were greated rudely to start with "what do you want!?" Then the server was nice However the food was very average. The scones were like tiny (size of a 20c piece) and very hard. The desserts all average, none of them make you want to go back for more. Cupcakes like plastic and fake icing. On the upside sandwiches were nice

This place has a great all you can eat buffet selection and for an extra cost you can have all you can drink wine as well. Fantastic river and Story bridge views. Great place for a birthday or other celebration.

Very disappointed with the quality of seafood. The prawns were flavourless and tasted like farmed prawns, any fish dishes were dry and was like eating rubber and the drink prices were too expensive. This will be the first and last time we will eat here. Glad we didn’t spend our anniversary staying at the Stanford Plaza.

About Brasserie on the River

Riverside dining They recommend booking at Brasserie on the River, and no wonder – the views across the Brisbane River are a real drawcard, and not just for hotel guests at the Stamford which the restaurant is part of. Punters also flock here for the buffet featuring seasonal specials such as king prawns and oysters, cold and hot dishes and two roasts from the carvery along with an extensive dessert selection including Australian cheeses with nuts and dried fruit. There is also an a la carte menu option (dubbed the ‘Irresistible’ and no wonder, with fare such as Mooloolaba king prawns and wagyu beef burger on offer), and the ever-popular ‘Brisbane Morning Tea’ served alfresco on the terrace – all elegance and sophistication with dainty delicacies served on a tiered silver stand. Best dish: Seafood Buffet!
