Great service and attentiveness. Strongly recommend the Kingfish and sweetmeats special, along with the Salt & Vinegar Galette. The Citrus Pisco Sour cocktail was a winner, as was a winner as was the Last Rites Black IPA. Loved the roaring open fire. Definitely a Canberra gem!

An absolute stunning setting for date night, ambience, service and fine food, what more could you ask for.

Bar Rochford has a trendy "vibe" with comprehensive cocktail and wine options. The tapas type shared menu is good for sampling. The chorizo and manchego toasts were very tasty, oysters fresh, and French brie top quality. Genuine Tharwa honeycomb was an excellent touch. t's a little noisy, but that is a sign of patron enjoyment.

Fish had run out which was disappointing. The wines we tried (by the glass) were not brilliant and quite expensive. The wine list did look interesting though. If you are going to offer late booking times and charge these kind of prices you really should not be running out of menu items and then telling your customers that they should have expect that because it’s late ! Having said that tfecfoo we had was tasty.

About Bar Rochford

Wine time! At home in ACT’s oldest building, Bar Rochford is the ideal place to catch up with friends over a glass of wine and nibbles. The space is rustic and welcoming, with shiny concrete floors and comfy army green booths. Start off your evening with a glass of Tempranillo from Madrid and a charcuterie board featuring delicious meats and cheeses. These guys will have you coming back for more! Best dish: Roasted eggplant, labneh, smoked harissa.
